Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear is an expansion pack for the Enhanced Edition of Baldur’s Gate, a role-playing game originally released in 1998. Siege of Dragonspear was developed by Beamdog, a company founded by former BioWare employees who worked on the original Baldur’s Gate games.

Siege of Dragonspear is set between the events of Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn. The player takes on the role of a new character, a member of the Flaming Fist mercenary company, who is sent to investigate a mysterious army of dragons that is amassing in the Sword Coast.
