Peggle 2: A Colorful and Addictive Puzzle Adventure

Peggle 2 is a puzzle video game developed by PopCap Games and published by Electronic Arts. It was released on September 10, 2013, for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and iOS. The game is a sequel to the 2007 game Peggle, and features similar gameplay, with the player shooting balls at pegs in order to clear levels. However, Peggle 2 introduces a number of new features, including new characters, levels, and power-ups.

The basic gameplay of Peggle 2 is simple: the player uses a cannon to shoot balls at pegs that are arranged in various formations. The goal is to clear all of the orange pegs from the level, while avoiding the blue pegs. The player can shoot the ball directly at the pegs, or they can use the environment to bounce the ball around and hit the pegs from different angles.

There are a total of 120 levels in Peggle 2, each with its own unique layout and challenges. The levels are divided into 10 worlds, each with its own unique theme and set of obstacles. As the player progresses through the game, they will encounter new types of pegs, as well as new power-ups that can help them clear levels more easily.

Peggle 2 features a cast of 10 playable characters, each with their own unique abilities. These characters include:

  • Bjorn: A viking who can shoot three balls at once.
  • Claude: A mime who can slow down time.
  • Gnorman: A troll who can shoot explosive balls.
  • Jimmy Lightning: A rock star who can shoot electric balls.
  • Kat Tut: An Egyptian queen who can shoot balls that turn into scarabs.
  • Luna: A fairy who can shoot balls that bounce off of walls.
  • Pearl: A pirate who can shoot balls that explode on impact.
  • Professor Pester: A mad scientist who can shoot balls that create black holes.
  • Rocky: A yeti who can shoot balls that freeze pegs.
  • Splork: An alien who can shoot balls that teleport.

Each character’s ability can be used to help clear levels more easily. For example, Bjorn’s ability to shoot three balls at once can be used to quickly clear large groups of pegs, while Claude’s ability to slow down time can be used to give the player more time to line up their shots.

In addition to the characters’ abilities, Peggle 2 also features a variety of power-ups that can help the player clear levels more easily. These power-ups include:

  • Extra balls: Adds extra balls to the player’s cannon.
  • Super guide: Shows the player the path that the ball will take.
  • Freeze time: Freezes all of the pegs on the screen for a short period of time.
  • Detonator: Explodes all of the blue pegs on the screen.
  • Bullseye: Automatically targets the orange pegs.

Power-ups can be found throughout the levels, or they can be purchased from the in-game store.
