Released in 2010, Rock Band 3 is the third installment in the popular Rock Band series of music video games. Developed by Harmonix and published by MTV Games, Rock Band 3 allows players to form a band and play a variety of rock songs using realistic instrument controllers. The game features a wide range of new features and improvements over its predecessors, including:

  • 83 new songs: Rock Band 3 adds 83 new songs to the Rock Band library, bringing the total number of songs available to over 2,000. The new songs span a wide range of genres, from classic rock to modern pop.

Gameplay

Rock Band 3’s gameplay is similar to that of its predecessors. Players use instrument controllers to play along with on-screen music notes. The goal is to hit the notes as accurately as possible in order to score points and progress through the song.

In addition to the main gameplay mode, Rock Band 3 also features a number of other game modes, including:

  • Career mode: Career mode allows players to create a band and progress through a series of challenges and gigs. As players progress through Career mode, they will earn new songs, venues, and equipment.
  • Quickplay mode: Quickplay mode allows players to jump into a game of Rock Band 3 without having to create a band or progress through Career mode.
  • Online multiplayer: Rock Band 3 supports online multiplayer for up to four players. Players can form bands and play together online, or they can compete against each other in a variety of game modes.
